Imports: Grain.
Currency: Most any form of currency is accepted on the Isles, with bartering being very common as well.
Geography: Tropical islands located well off the coast of Nyasia, directly in the storm path between the outer ocean and the Ash-Sh'b capital of Rhakosis.
Climate: Hot, wet and stormy.
Physical Appearance: People from every other culture on Nyasia have found their way to the Free Isles for one reason or another.

Religion: Most religions have shrines or temples on the Isles, though many are hidden, known only to those who know how to look for them.
Burial Rituals: No particular ritual, though the most common are either cremation, with the ashes scattered to the winds, or burial at sea.
View of Magic: No unified opinion, though as long as one is not destructive, they have little to fear.
View of other cultures:
Skenden: Too far north to be of much concern to the Free Isles, the Skenden are also the most willing to leave the Free Isles be. The cult of the Daughter of Storms is quite popular on the Free Isles.
Minzoku: A long trip for little gain, these people and their mist-shrouded land provide little entertainment. Still, some of their treasures are highly valued in the south, if you can convince them to trade with you.
Oami: Though they rarely have much to do with us, they are the most willing to trade with a bunch of free spirits.
Dascean: Universally hated by the Dasceans, it is said their "nobles" have been known to hire from amongst our numbers to waylay their enemies.
Ta Atoua: While the Ta Atoua would love to bring the Free Isles to heel, they lack the naval strength to ensure a successful campaign.
Ash-Sh'b: The greatest threat to the sovereignty of the Free Isles thanks to their powerful navy. Fortunately, political strife has kept the Ash-Sh'b navy closer to home.
Other Notes:
Also known as the Pirate Isles, the Corsair Peaks and the Orcan Isles, the Free Isles are a mishmash of peoples from all across Nyasia. No single group has claimed dominion over the Isles, and so they remain free of outside rulership, making them a haven for those who seek to be free, and those who would prefer not to be found.
