I got of the ship safely enough, even managing to earn the respect of some of the crew on the trip over... Although, winning a couple of brawls and actually being able to be a useful crew hand instead of a tourist is not some fantastical task. Nevertheless I found myself unable to find Akash initially. This proved surprising as he does not carry himself in a way that you would expect of a Brother... but annoying regardless. I had decided to stay in a shithole of an inn long enough to find him, as I would like to keep enough of my gems to pay for other items later on. When Akash found me the next day, we met with our captain for this supposed grand adventure; Capitan Sitara and her... Little? Brother? I really have no other choice than to assume there is some language error as she calls her personal Oni Kanuki, little brother. Regardless, neither seem to be trifled with, which I used to say of Akash, at least until a bird, a bird of all things stole his cane-sword! Quite a sight to behold the "divinely blessed" Akash lose his weapon to a mere animal. The woman that the bird belonged to was an exceptionally tall and beautiful woman, if not a bit clumsy. She actually managed to sell the cane back to Akash, and I though he was going to lose his temper over something so outrageous, but he invited her to lunch with us instead. To add to our seemingly growing entourage of oddities, we met a Ta Atouan warrior woman by the name of Mesi. I say met, but our introductions were made by aiding her against some disgruntled warriors trying to take her life. After a few scrapes and Kanuki pummeling one of them, they escaped.
