This was a GOOD night! Not only is a large portion of Nobu's crew either locked up or dead, but that little skeeving disgrace to thieves is dead for good! My fault, as it seems I made the "mistake" of stabbing Nobu too deeply and killing him... Darn, and I was hoping I would get some personal time to question him. Of course, it is a shame that so many of his crew didn't get taken away by the guards, and were killed instead. Especially since it could've been avoided if a certain accountant, so caught up in the action, hadn't said the wrong thing... It is certainly a shame that some of them had to die at our hands under the guise of self defence, rather than be given the option to try and escape their arrest. Oh well! Guess we'll just chalk it up to incompetence. I really need to calm down with drinks however, as I could barely remember what happened during our celebration... Something about marrying a bird? Whatever, I'm just going to head to sleep.

(In large hasty scrawls) THAT SKEEVING FUCK! Of all the things I would have would have expected from Nobu, threatening and almost attacking a little girl is one of lowest things I would've thought he would do! I had some idea the day before that he was behind it but upon meeting him, I found out that he was even proud of his work... I almost attacked him on the spot, that worthless filth!
(Writing neatens) Now, onto the rest of this insanity filled night. So, after finding out that Nobu frequents a cock fighting ring... Figures, the barbarian... We decided, or rather everyone else decided, for me to dress as some flamboyant entrepreneur with Captain and Mesi as my personal escorts. Ridiculous as it sounds, we actually got in thanks to some poor guy named Kenji. Then I managed to spot Nobu, with that unmistakeable idiotic haircut. I mean really, what kind of thief would actually style themselves like that? As if all the uncovered tattoos weren't enough of a profile, that absurd haircut stands out across a crowded room! Of course, as I've seen it, Nobu is in the business of being a street thug before a thief. I do feel a twinge bad for the entire double "booking" of Mesi, as I could tell she was uncomfortable the entire time. If the Captain had done it, she likely would have enjoyed busting the bubbles of Kenji and Nobu, but Mesi is a tad more reserved. It ended up being more than worth it as Nobu got stabbed in the process, and while I felt bad about Kenji's beating he surely took, I am also writing this surrounded by a certain Giantess' trinkets and luggage due to him being dumped in my room by our heroic Captain and Giantess. It is fortunate that they were outside in time to see what I can only describe as "Demon Ninjas". These bastards were sneaking onto the ship and had slit a couple of the crew's throats and we managed to fend them off. We will have to find out more soon, but the paralytic poison still has effect so I need rest. Well, that was certainly an unfortunate turn of events for Akash. Upon visiting the Rokurou Winery, our Core Group found that a certain Rokurou Maki had been suffering from vandalism and that some of his workers had been scared off. Whether through lack of requesting aid, or simple incompetence, there seems to be no formal response from the city guards... Of course, that's the famous Xien La city guard, hard at work as always. I can't be too harsh on them as it makes my job a bit easier, but I do enjoy a challenge here and there. For some actual work to be put in I would have to take on some of the more skilled members like Yujin who could give me a run for my money... Anyway, I'm getting off topic, because as we started talking to Maki, Akash the lunatic that he is, started speaking Minzoken to Maki and quickly making it clear we were with the Brotherhood and here to help. This would have been fine if the Captain, Mesi, and the Giantess hadn't all been standing in the room, partaking in a conversation being held in TRADE. We, well I should say I, had to pull an excuse out of thin air for the Captain... I need to talk to Akash about subtlety, though I'm unsure if he can grasp the concept. Sadly enough, some kid and his poor little sister have been stuck at home as the brother was the only one fit enough to work, and we have started to patch him up. Akash then got a paralytic dart throw at him as he attempted to chase some suspicious target, and is now feeling a tad under the weather. Really though, I know we are thieves but that really is in poor taste to pull such a sinister trap... No honor at all, and that's coming from me!
Finally Home! It's funny but a actually almost missed the corruption and divided Brotherhood! At least I knew what to expect with that, no crazy Ta Atouans attacking people in broad daylight, or insane captain gambling a half of someone else's cargo to satisfy her own wants... Just pure and simple treachery. Akash and I made contact with the Brotherhood and he seemed incredibly irritated at the Giantess for whatever reason, although she is irritating in her incompetence to be sure. How someone so aesthetically stunning can lack such grace or common sense is beyond me. Aside from power struggles going on, we have to find a way to sell a damn big bunch of figs so hopefully that goes well.
After a bit of traveling we came upon a seemingly untouched island. While exploring we found the entrance to a cave... Inside was some strange amalgamation of tentacles that lashed out at us and even struck Akash. We managed to slice off one of the flailing limbs and escape the cave, and brought the limb with us. After a bit of investigation we found that it tasted quite disgusting. Really, what an inane stop for us to make, but we decided that we should vanquish this enemy and delved further into the cave with many shields and something to light the rocks which housed the beast aflame. It worked... We then later found some precious stones and after that I really can't remember much else. We had a beach party after the cave and I really need to cut down on drinking because I have such a foggy memory of what happened... Oh well, I sure nothing as fantastical as the Master of Tops doing a belly dance of sorts happened, or why I would have such a specific... Ah, wait... Hmmm, I really DO need to cut back on drinks.
(In angry, scrawled, handwriting) THAT ABSOLUTE MAD WOMAN! Our dearest captain challenged some mythical sailor by the name of Nickege Cheg to a race and dared to bet not only HALF of our cargo! But also one of our crew to spend a night in his quarters, from which we may not have returned! And what could possibly have been so worth the trip that captain boldly bet all of these resources??? A HAT. A hat with a fancy ass feather in it! HOORAY. I'm so happy to know that her crew and cargo are expendable as game pieces when it comes to her own personal adventures. We barely won as well, pulling out by little more than a ships length.
As well as this, I have come to be thrust into a reality of magic, as I have found out that Akash, with all his self imposed importance is actually blessed by some force of nature as he can manipulate wind at will and even make people fly in the damn air. I had thought that anyone like this was surely dangerous, with the burn serving as a harsh reminder, but... Maybe everything will work out. I could tell Akash was taken aback by this revelation but... (There is the beginning of a word but looks as if the quill was just left on the paper.) Well this was certainly and eventful departure. While at dinner we were informed of somebody attempting to rob us of our ship... It's almost poetic for Akash and myself to be the victims here, but we rushed to the shipyard regardless. The guards were knocked out and the thieves attacked us. After that giantess dolt was stabbed, not sure how she didn't see that attacker, it was revealed that the captain has another inexplicable brother... A Skenden man by the name of Stig. After some deliberation, he and his men left and we returned to bed.
The crew of our ship, The Viz Leany, all seemed very capable and masters of their craft... However the Master of Arms seemed to take some issue with me for some reason, and I can already tell that she is not a woman with whom I want to trifle. The captain and our eclectic group seemed enthralled with the carvings and how they are some prayer set into the ship, but as long as it sail, I couldn't care less; I get enough religious ramblings from Akash as it is... I mean really, he must find it a bit silly at some times surely? (Another short entry is made, which looks sloppy as if written in a hurry, shortly after this entry.) It's early by I had to write this down to make sure I remember. I dreamt of Yujin's little brother, damn it all I can still hear his cries... I don't know what to make of it but I'm unsure if I can even go back to sleep... I got of the ship safely enough, even managing to earn the respect of some of the crew on the trip over... Although, winning a couple of brawls and actually being able to be a useful crew hand instead of a tourist is not some fantastical task. Nevertheless I found myself unable to find Akash initially. This proved surprising as he does not carry himself in a way that you would expect of a Brother... but annoying regardless. I had decided to stay in a shithole of an inn long enough to find him, as I would like to keep enough of my gems to pay for other items later on. When Akash found me the next day, we met with our captain for this supposed grand adventure; Capitan Sitara and her... Little? Brother? I really have no other choice than to assume there is some language error as she calls her personal Oni Kanuki, little brother. Regardless, neither seem to be trifled with, which I used to say of Akash, at least until a bird, a bird of all things stole his cane-sword! Quite a sight to behold the "divinely blessed" Akash lose his weapon to a mere animal. The woman that the bird belonged to was an exceptionally tall and beautiful woman, if not a bit clumsy. She actually managed to sell the cane back to Akash, and I though he was going to lose his temper over something so outrageous, but he invited her to lunch with us instead. To add to our seemingly growing entourage of oddities, we met a Ta Atouan warrior woman by the name of Mesi. I say met, but our introductions were made by aiding her against some disgruntled warriors trying to take her life. After a few scrapes and Kanuki pummeling one of them, they escaped.
So... It seems as though the "Great and Powerful" Ratna Katara Akash Darashan Rakshasa has deigned to bless me with an that I cannot refuse. Wealth, status, and adventure, those were the things promised in his letter to me... On a side note, the letter did not mention a thieving cabin boy who attempted to steal the gems that would provide me income to meet Akash in Rhakosis. I feel like I should admire the confidence of this child, but I also prefer to keep my gems. But I digress, I have acquired passage to the City of Sails and should be there near the start of the next year. I certainly hope Akash isn't the normal impractical pain that he tends to be and is easy to find.
